Currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, my research focuses on the crystallization of magmas as they ascend toward the surface and erupt.

I completed a Ph.D. at Arizona State University studying magma storage and eruption initiation at arc volcanoes, as well as secondary explosions in silicic lava flows. When I'm not pressure cooking magma, I love to hike, bike, and bake. I am passionate about geoscience outreach and education.
